About me
I am a 30 something year old, newly minted GP in the UK, and still figuring out her life.
A recent wake up call from my blood test results has shown I need to start taking my health seriously. As a GP, I strongly believe in prevention (sadly bereft in the NHS) and by blogging about my own health journey, I hope to learn more, which can only be better for my patients. Also as a working professional, try to find actual workable health/ fitness hacks which may help my patients because let’s face it, finding the time and energy is hard.
I want to be able to say “do as I do”, not “do as I say”.
Part of my health journey was also recognizing that if you’re not spiritually aligned with what you are doing for a career, it will negatively impact on your health and your relationships. Happy people bring more happiness into the world after all. There’s a multitude of reasons why I am looking at different careers and I hope by blogging about it, it will give me some clarity and comfort on what to do next but also to other medics who are in a similar, very jarring, position.
I have no idea what I am doing but it doesn’t matter. What matters is I am doing something.
